What exactly is an “experience-based session”?

Instead of standing in front of a backdrop and being told how to pose, we go do something together—like a picnic in the park, a ferry ride, a walk through your favorite neighborhood. You live in the moment with the people you love, and I quietly capture the story as it unfolds. No forced smiles. No awkward posing. Just real connection.

How much do sessions cost?

All sessions are a flat $795 + tax. That includes the experience, 90-120 minutes of shooting time, fully edited images, an online gallery, and any required permits or location fees. No upselling, no hidden charges. Upfront pricing. One price for a relaxed time and a full set of beautiful memories.

What’s included in my session?

You’ll get the experience itself (typically 90-120 minutes), all the best images fully edited, delivered in a private online gallery. You can download, share, and print however you like—there’s no image limit or extra charge for "the good ones."

How many images will I receive?

It varies by session, but usually between 20 - 30+ images, depending on the flow of the experience. I’ll deliver every photo that feels honest, beautiful, and meaningful.

Do your edits including retouching my appearance? 

I adjust for light, color, and cleaning up the background. This is all about an authentic experience. We are not creating perfect glamour shots. Part of being in an authentic experience is being authentically YOU. As you are. Connecting with those you love. 

What should we wear?

Whatever makes you feel good and comfortable. I recommend soft, neutral tones or colors that feel like you. If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to help you style your session or send inspiration.

I’m awkward in front of the camera—will that show?

I totally get it. I started this business because I felt that way too. These sessions are designed to be so relaxed and natural that you’ll forget the camera is even there. You don’t need to perform or pose—you just need to show up and be present.

Can I design my own experience?

Absolutely! If you have a meaningful location or activity in mind, I’d love to help you bring it to life. Let’s dream something up together.

Do you travel outside Seattle?

Yes! I’m based in Seattle, but I love exploring. For locations outside the area, a small travel fee may apply—we’ll chat about it ahead of time.

Do you shoot weddings and events?

I photograph small short events - roughly an hour. On occasion, I will be hired to shoot part of an event - the getting ready, the ceremony, or the reception, but if you are looking for a photographer to capture a larger or longer event/wedding, I'd recommend going with an event or wedding photographer. I can give you some great recomendations.

How do I book a session?

What if it rains?

This is the Pacific Northwest—it might! Some of my favorite sessions happen in the rain. We can reschedule if it’s pouring or make the most of it with umbrellas and cozy coats. I’ll work with you to make it feel right.
